It saved my baby last night!
Reviewer Comments: This morning at 5a.m. the monitor went off. My son was dead center in the bassinet (he hadn't scooted like he normally does)....it went off. I shook the cradle, and I picked him up and held him for an hour. It nearly gave me a heart attack!! He is fine though, and I believe it saved his life! The static is annoying, so I did turn the sound off (I have the older version). I use it for the alarm monitor by itself. I leave the sound turned off.
